Program Objective
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of current and emerging technologies and their impact on public policy domains.
- Analyze the social, economic, and political implications of technological advancements on public policy formulation and implementation.
- Develop skills to craft effective policies that address challenges and leverage opportunities presented by technology, while also evaluating existing policies for their effectiveness.
- Gain proficiency in analyzing large datasets and employing data-driven approaches to inform policy decisions related to technology adoption and regulation.
- Learn strategies for engaging with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, industry leaders, advocacy groups, and the general public, to facilitate dialogue and consensus-building around technology policy issues.
- Explore the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in driving technological advancements and shaping policy responses to foster innovation ecosystems.
- Develop effective communication skills to convey technical concepts and policy recommendations to diverse audiences, including policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the public.
Eligibility Criteria/ Admission requirements
- 16 years of education or equivalent qualification with minimum CGPA of 2.00 at the Bachelors level or equivalent qualification from a recognized university is required to be eligible for the admission to this program.
- Passing the UMT admission Test with minimum 60 % marks is mandatory.
- No of admissions would be as per availability of faculty and HEC/UMT requirements.
